This bourbon barrel aged double chocolate rye stout is rich boozy, bourbon, sweet and chocolate aroma; initial bourbon, woody flavors followed by the chocolate, charred, roasted malts, the sweetness from the chocolate and bourbon work well together to balance out the bitterness from the hops and rye.
Our good friend Bubba traveled to Cologne, Germany and stumbled across this ancient Kölsch recipe and shared it with us. Traditional German style Kölsch ale using German noble hops to produce a slightly dry, crisp finish. Enjoy.
Our Harvest Ale is brewed with 100 lbs. of Centennial fresh hops from Hop Head Farms, in Hickory Corners, MI.
